Company Background

Australian Brick Cladding Pty Ltd was incorporated in September 1998. The majority shareholder is Australian Lifestyle Exports Pty Ltd.

The directors of the company had two fundamental issues in their minds when the business was established.

We recognised that by offering a higher quality of brick cladding products, the market could become much larger than it was at that time.

And we recognised that there wasn't a supplier, anywhere, who stood out as the manufacturer of those quality brick cladding products.

In the relatively short period since those days, Australian Brick Cladding has established itself as the premier supplier of quality thin-brick cladding products, worldwide.

Management

The company faced from the outset a level of demand upon productive assets that continually exceeded capacity. Progressive long-term expansion has always been the key to our success. The extraordinary growth in demand for our products has always been based on knowledge within our markets of our total commitment to quality and value.

We operated for three years at a substantial production plant in Bundaberg, Queensland, but have now moved away from Bundaberg as a major source of brick supply. We are continuing to establish new and even more efficient production plants elsewhere, with two of those new plants now on stream.

Our Bundaberg operation continues to operate in new premises, as a base for our two full-time engineering staff in the development and fabrication of new machinery and as a smaller-scale production and product development facility.

Alongside our expansion plans, product development and quality systems of course remain the focus of our view of continual improvement. Our products will continue to be at the leading edge in terms of quality, technological efficiency and value.

Recently we have sought to take a higher profile in the Australian market. With the enthusiastic network of product distributors and installers that we are building, we are confident that more people in Australia will be aware of our company and our products in the months and years ahead.

We are growing rapidly still, but we don't aim necessarily to be the biggest. We certainly intend to stay the best, always.

And with our being named QJCCI Supreme Exporter of the Year and Small to Medium Manufacturer of the Year in 2003, we clearly aren't alone in this belief!
